I have been a Social Worker and Family Therapist in the Niagara Region for 20 years.  I am passionate about what I do and enjoy connecting with my clients so we can build a safe, therapeutic relationship.  I work with individuals, children, couples and families.  I have experience working with clients struggling with a number of issues:

  • Depression and Anxiety

  • Grief/Loss

  • Relationship Struggles

  • Life Stress / Work-Life Balance

  • Major life events

  • Self-esteem and Confidence

  • Anger Management

  • Blended Family Issues

  • Parenting (see Connected Parenting tab)

  • Sports Motivation/Performance

My approach to counselling draws mainly from Mindfulness, CBT and Narrative Therapy.   Over the last number of years I have been focusing my clinical training on Mindfulness for use with not only clients but in my personal life as well.  I believe that Mindfulness with its 2500 year plus history and strong basis in neuroscience can be useful when looking at almost any problem.  Finding a way of living a more mindful life can help you build joy and contentment and will assist you in dealing with problems, difficult emotions and negative thoughts and patterns.

If you are struggling with challenging behaviours or anxiety with your children I can help with that too.  Check out the Connected Parenting tab to see how this approach may be helpful for your family.

I live in St. Catharines with my husband, 2 children and our awesome dog Arnie.  We all try to be mindful, practice gratitude and live by our family motto - Be Kinder Than Necessary.  We love to have dance parties in the kitchen, hang out with friends and family and watch Netflix.
